Jonet

My name is Jonet. I am a mother of three & a productive member of society... but first and foremost, I am sober & grateful to be sober.

Becoming sober wasn't always easy, but staying sober no matter what comes in my path is what drives me to keep going. Being a part of ChooseWell Communities has helped me to grow up, learn about myself, & find myself through the right community connections. The most important things that ChooseWell has given me is a sense of safety for me and my family, a strong foundation, and A FAMILY. A sense of safety & living in a healthy community in addition to being sober rather than living in 'the madness of the addiction' are truly the best gifts. Due to our addiction, we are not always promised our family back, but I got mine back... and I gained so much more. I gained a community that has my back & a place where I can be me. I may fall, but I trust and believe that someone will catch me. I have learned so much in my time with ChooseWell Communities.

My advice to newcomers is to remain teachable at all times, to keep an open mind, and be willing to keep fighting for what is best for yourself and your family. Surround yourself around positive people along your journey. Be gentle with yourself so that you can return the compassion to others!
