Being a new parent is challenging. Navigating new sobriety is equally tricky. Imagine doing both at the same time. 

Our friends within faith-based organizations have asked how they can join us in furthering ChooseWell Communities’ mission to be a catalyst for community-driven health. The CWC vision is that every child in Louisville is raised in a home free of substance misuse. 

To that end, CWC anchors young families in recovery in safe affordable housing and provides supports during their children’s first five years. This includes seamless access to community resources for vocational/education achievement, physical and behavioral health, and family well-being. 

More than 4000 babies are born in Kentucky each year to a mother with a diagnosis of substance use disorder. [1]

CWC has 30 families in its housing first program. Help us to increase that number each year!
