Thanks For Walking with Us!
The 2020 Walk Through the Wild at The Louisville Zoo was a HUGE success, and we have so many to thank. With the support of our sponsors and attendees, we raised over $40,000 to continue serving Louisville's families in recovery with children under 5 via housing, parenting, vocational/educational, and health and wellness programs throughout the year. In a time of COVID-19 and unknown territory for small non-profits with continuously increasing demand for services, we are especially and deeply grateful for your support this year. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
Thank you to those who purchased tickets and spent your Halloween morning walking in solidarity with us (socially-distanced of course) to support our resilient families in recovery. We loved seeing you, your costumes, and enjoying something positive and happy together. Your support means the world to us and the families that we serve. Thank you for recognizing that recovery and reunification is possible!
Huge, gigantic thanks to our sponsors who dug deep to show up in a big way to support us and the families that we serve. Without you, this event and our ability to serve families in the ways that we do would not be possible. Thus, thanks to sponsors Aetna, Norton Healthcare, Confluent Health, ProRehab, Dolt, Thompson, Shepherd & Conway, Thompson Miller & Simpson PLC, Cardinal Moving, FMS, pbc, Blackburn Domene, and Burchett, Steel Technologies, Grapevine Designs, Alltrade Property Management, WellCare Health Plans, Kindred Healthcare, Portland Save A Lot, Sunergos Coffee, Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, Kristy Dugan + MOVE Real Estate Group, Creative Spirits Behavioral Health, and Republic Bank. These companies - large and small - chose to do good and give back to Louisville's families with young children who have battled the grip of addiction, have taken the steps to move forward, and are seeking to be safe, sober, and responsible in healthy homes. Louisville - and the world - are made better because of those like you. Thank you!
Thanks also to our supporting sponsors: Texas Roadhouse, Graeter's Ice Cream, Wyld Craft Creative & Design, Tattoo Charlies Louisville, and Newcomb Oil Co., LLC DBA FiveStar Food Mart who donated lots of great goodies, raffle prizes, and in-kind services for our walkers.
Lastly, many thanks to Chip Dumstorf of Bisig Impact Group for these amazing photos of the Walk. We can always count on you to shine through in taking the perfect snapshots! Thanks to you and Bisig for supporting and documenting local social impact causes - what a valuable gift you are giving to Louisville!
We hope to see everyone in 2021 to Walk Through the Wild again. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy (and contact us if you need our services).
